Great Tasting Post Workout

Post workout supplements are rare, really. Most people think BCAAs or straight protein are great for fueling and recovering, and I don’t disagree, but I prefer an overall post workout, especially after long runs. There aren’t many on the market. Those out there tend to overload carbs and just be electrolyte replenishers.

My favorite post-workouts over the years, After Glow and PMD products, have left the market, and Replenish has been the go-to. I was aware that this product was “in the works” and I was anxious to try it.

It’s very much like Replenish, similar ingredients, a little different variety of flavors, and all-in-all a great replacement. However, and this may seem odd but if you take supplements without using a shaker (spoon stirrer, but less dishes to clean
:-), this product is superior to Replenish in that it dissolves faster. Some supplements foam up also with colder water, and this doesn’t. In fact, I like to use carbonated water with the post workout, like soda, and this mixes fast and is refreshing. With protein, BCAAs, and other items, it definitely helps recovery time and strength—I run or lift daily, but almost always run distances of at least four miles—and I generally feel like I could go for another similar run just 30 minutes or after taking this.

I’m taking the Bubble gum candy flavor right now, and it tastes great.
